This cricket ground was established in the year 1814 and is named on the name of its founder Thomas Lord who made this. Many World Cup final matches have been played here like those of 1975, 1979, 1983 and 1999. It also remained the Centre of the ICC committee for a long period of time. The very first match was played in the year 1884 on this ground. It is also called as the Home of Cricket and this is also considered as the home-ground to the Marylebone Cricket Club. Besides hosting the International cricket tournaments this ground is also used for the home matches.  Graham Gooch , the  highest test run scorer on this ground and Ian Botham , the highest wicket taker here are the legends of this ground. Inspite of being 201 years old, its infrastructure is worth giving a peak till now. It has a seating capacity of 28,000.

This Australian ground was built in the year 1848 and is home to the New South Wales Blues cricket team and the Sydney Sixers. It also comes under the category of one of the Iconic stadiums in the world. 452 not out is the highest score on this ground by the legendary Sir Don and that’s why they have named a stand on his name to respect his legacy and stardom. Like Melbourne Cricket Ground it is also a Multi-sports ground that is also used to host other home as well as international sports event. Seating capacity of this ground is  44,000.

4: NEWLANDS  , CAPE  TOWN (South Africa)

Having capacity of 25000 this ground is one of the pleasant cricket stadiums in the world because it is surrounded by the Table Mountain and the Devil’s Peak. 1889 was the year when the first test-cricket match  was played. This ground has hosted about more than 50 test matches out of which South Africa itself has won 18 matches. This ground is also known as Sahara Park Newslands and is spinner friendly one unlike other grounds in South Africa.

It is by far the biggest sports stadium in the New Zealand and is used for hosting both Rugby matches as well as the Cricket tournaments. It has a capacity of 50,000 which is just too much to accommodate a large no. of cricket fans. Eden park is located in the heart of Auckland ( New Zealand’s largest city) building boundaries between the suburbs of Mount Eden and the Kingsland. It has also hosted soccer matches along with the Rugby leagues and the cricket matches. It became the first stadium to have hosted 2  rugby World Cup finals starting in 1987 .It was also selected as a venue for the 2015 World Cup which was hosted both by Australia and New Zealand. It has short length boundaries as compared to the other famous international cricket grounds.
